ًWhat do people expect from a fresh graduate?

I was surprised when people keep asking me about things I have never heard about in my life. They tell me how come you are a computer science student and you do not know this things. I keep always telling them that a student is not a storage of information and it is not the condition that he/she knows every bit in his field.

I used then to ask people what do you study. Then I receive the flourish answer from them. Then I ask them a question in his/her major and I find out he/she does not know too. So, what do people expect from a fresh graduate who has few work experience?
